With experience of living in Tokyo for 8 years and multilingual language skills,

I launched www.tokyo-and-life.com in order to support foreigners in Japan

and share useful information about living in Tokyo in both Japanese and English.

My Story

I majored in Japanese at university and have passed the Japanese Language Proficiency Test N1 level.

After graduation in June 2014,
I joined the product department of a major Japanese home furnishing company and was involved in product development.

Although I enjoyed my work, I realized that it wasn't the life I wanted, so I decided to study abroad in Japan.

In March 2017, I came to Japan alone for study at Keio University.

As a result of using all my savings for admission fee, tuition fee and flight ticket, I only had the money for about two months' rent. But it wasn't a problem because I got work soon.

I did everything on my own, including finding an apartment, signing up for a mobile phone number, and opening a bank account.

I studied Japanese language and System Design & Management at Keio University.

At the end of my studies in Tokyo, I got a job at a real estate agency in central Tokyo.

Thanks to the kindness and openness of my superiors and colleagues,

I was able to grow from a novice to a professional real estate agent.

After that, I launched out on my own as an Independent Financial Planner and Property Consultant.

In my personal life, I have also had the following experiences:

Renting a shared house and a rental office,

Renting a room for one person (1R/1K),

Renting a room for two person (1LDK),

Buying my own home (2LDK~3LDK),

signing a mortgage, etc.

大学の専攻は日本語でした。日本語能力試験N１の資格を持っています。

卒業直後は、日本の大手ホームファニシング企業の商品部に入社し、商品開発に携わりました。

仕事は楽しかったのですが、自分が望んでいる人生ではないと気づき、日本への留学を決意しました。

2017年3月、仕事で貯めたお金をすべて入学資金と渡航費用にあて、

2ヶ月くらいの家賃に相当するお金を持って一人で日本にやってきました。

部屋探しや携帯番号の契約、銀行口座の開設など、なんでも自力でこなしてきました。

慶應義塾大学に入学し、日本語とシステム・デザイン・マネジメントについて学びました。

留学の終わりに、都心の不動産屋への就職が決まりました。

上司も仲間も偏見なくやさしく接してくださったおかげで

素人からプロの不動産エージェントへと成長させていただきました。

その後、独立系ファイナンシャルプランナー＆不動産コンサルタントとして独立へ。

プライベートでは、以下の経験もあります。

シェアハウスやレンタルオフィスの利用、

一人の賃貸部屋（1R/1K）、

二人の賃貸部屋（1LDK）、

マイホーム購入（2LDK~3LDK）、

住宅ローンの契約など。
